Labyrinths is a series of illustrations of fantastical floating structures with gridded pathways in isometric perspective. The inspiration for these works came from the style of pathways used in my Pixelated Pathways series. I decided to try recreating these pathways in a three-dimensional space using isometric perspective. I use numerous whimsical colour palettes that are often inspired by food. The continuous pathways are not mazes, they aren't meant to confuse or trick your brain. Following the pathways with your eye is predictable and in that way, comforting.
